How DietWings uses cookies

This policy explains how cookies and similar technologies help DietWings operate securely, remember choices, support meal-planning workflows, process payments, measure performance, and manage your privacy preferences.

Scope of this policy

This Cookie Policy explains how DietWings, operated by Isentró Kft, registered at 1082 Budapest, Corvin sétány 6, 8th floor, unit 4, Hungary, uses cookies and similar technologies on our public website, product pages, account areas, meal-planning workflows, billing flows, support features, and administrative systems.

In this policy, “cookies” means cookies, local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, scripts, SDKs, device identifiers, and similar technologies that store information on, read information from, or interact with your browser, device, or session.

This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. It does not replace those documents and does not describe every way DietWings processes personal data.

What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small files placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies can store preferences, keep you signed in, protect your account, remember workflow state, measure performance, detect errors, or support payment and authentication providers.

Some technologies are required for DietWings to work securely. Others are optional and are used only where permitted by applicable law, your settings, and the choices you make in our cookie banner or preference center.

How DietWings uses these technologies

Strictly necessary technologies

These technologies are required to provide DietWings and cannot be disabled through our cookie controls. They support account registration, login, email verification, password reset, OTP/2FA, logout, session management, CSRF protection, cookie preference storage, checkout state, subscription access, token balance integrity, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, security monitoring, trusted device settings, account deletion flows, and access control.

For administrators, strictly necessary technologies may also support admin authentication, role checks, audit logs, user safety controls, payment-provider controls, compliance settings, and protected administrative actions such as blocking users, adjusting tokens, managing plans, or using authorized support tools.

These technologies are not used by DietWings for advertising or optional marketing analytics.

Functional technologies

Functional technologies help remember choices and make DietWings easier to use. They may remember interface theme, language, country, currency, unit system, dismissed site alerts, PDF viewer settings, meal-plan filters, sorting preferences, shopping-list view state, pantry or inventory display state, notification settings, and meal-planning workflow progress.

They may also support temporary drafts, wizard steps, selected household participants, guest participation days, budget display settings, cooking-frequency preferences, batch-cooking preferences, equipment selections, and other product settings needed to continue a workflow smoothly.

Where functional technologies are not strictly necessary and applicable law requires consent, we use them only according to your choices.

Analytics and performance technologies

Analytics technologies help us understand how DietWings is used and where it can be improved. They may measure page visits, feature usage, onboarding completion, meal-plan generation reliability, checkout completion, subscription conversion, token usage patterns, product errors, latency, uptime, device type, browser type, approximate region, and aggregated product performance.

DietWings does not intentionally use analytics cookies to collect complete meal plans, uploaded files, AI chat content, allergy notes, medical flags, body measurements, household profiles, payment credentials, 2FA backup codes, or private administrative records.

Where required by law, analytics technologies are used only after you consent. If you decline analytics, DietWings should still remain available, although we may have less information to improve reliability and usability.

Security, diagnostics, and abuse-prevention technologies

We may use cookies and similar technologies to detect suspicious login activity, account takeover attempts, automated abuse, scraping, payment abuse, token misuse, excessive AI requests, bot activity, unauthorized admin access, and other behavior that could harm DietWings, our users, or our infrastructure.

Diagnostic technologies may help us identify crashes, failed meal-plan generation, payment-state errors, broken pages, connection issues, PDF export failures, notification delivery issues, and other technical problems.

Security and diagnostic data may include technical identifiers, timestamps, IP-derived information, request metadata, browser and device information, session identifiers, error logs, and similar operational information.

Marketing and attribution technologies

Marketing technologies may help us understand referrals, promo-code usage, campaign performance, landing-page effectiveness, and whether marketing messages are relevant. They may also help prevent repeatedly showing the same message.

DietWings does not intentionally use allergy information, medical flags, health-related notes, body metrics, meal-plan content, AI chat content, uploaded files, pantry data, adherence data, workout tracking, off-plan events, or household-member details to create advertising profiles or target ads.

Where consent or opt-out rights apply, marketing technologies are disabled unless permitted by your choices and applicable law.

Payment and billing technologies

DietWings may use payment providers such as Stripe, Cryptomus, or other supported providers to process subscriptions, trials, token packages, promo codes, invoices, successful payments, cancelled payments, refunds, and billing history.

Payment providers may use cookies, scripts, device identifiers, fraud-prevention tools, or checkout technologies that are necessary for payment processing, fraud detection, regulatory compliance, payment authentication, invoice access, and transaction security.

DietWings does not store full payment card details, bank credentials, private wallet keys, or payment-provider passwords in DietWings cookies.

Authentication and connected-account technologies

If you use Google login, connect a Google account, connect Telegram, receive Telegram notifications, or use other third-party integrations, those providers may set or read cookies or similar technologies according to their own policies.

DietWings may use necessary technologies to remember that an account is connected, complete authentication, prevent fraud, maintain security, and let you disconnect integrations.

We do not control cookies set by third-party websites or services outside DietWings, and your use of those third-party services is subject to their own terms and privacy documents.

Support and feedback technologies

When you send feedback, bug reports, feature requests, screenshots, or support messages, we may use cookies or similar technologies to keep your session secure, attach relevant diagnostic context, prevent spam, and show the history or status of your own requests.

Screenshots and messages you choose to submit may contain personal information. You are responsible for reviewing attachments before sending them.

Sensitive nutrition, health-related, and household information

DietWings allows users to provide information such as dietary preferences, allergies, medical flags, weight, height, age, sex, activity level, goals, meals, ingredients, pantry items, workouts, adherence, feedback, off-plan events, household participants, temporary guests, and AI chat instructions.

We treat this type of information as user-provided product content. We do not intentionally place complete meal plans, uploaded files, medical flags, allergy notes, AI chat content, body measurements, payment credentials, backup codes, or admin audit records into advertising cookies.

We also do not intentionally disclose sensitive meal-planning or health-related content to advertising networks through marketing tags. You should not enter sensitive information into public forms, campaign fields, promo-code fields, bug-report titles, or other areas not intended for that information.

Because browsers, devices, extensions, and third-party services may operate outside our control, users on shared or public devices should sign out after use and clear browser storage when appropriate.

Local storage and session storage

DietWings may use local storage or session storage to support authentication state, session continuity, cookie choices, CSRF protection, trusted-device settings, temporary checkout state, theme, language, unit system, country, currency, dismissed alerts, product settings, PDF viewer settings, meal-plan workflow progress, draft state, shopping-list interface state, and connection-status messages.

Local storage and session storage are not intended to be a permanent backup of your meal plans, shopping lists, pantry data, AI chats, or account information. Clearing browser storage may sign you out, remove unsaved drafts, reset preferences, disable trusted-device settings, or require you to repeat certain verification steps.

On shared, work, school, library, or public devices, you should avoid saving sensitive workflows, sign out after using DietWings, and clear browser storage if you do not want later users of the device to see local state.

Third-party providers

DietWings may use carefully selected third-party providers for hosting, infrastructure, authentication, analytics, error monitoring, security, fraud prevention, payments, invoices, email delivery, Telegram notifications, customer support, AI functionality, file handling, PDF generation, and product operations.

These providers may set or read cookies or similar technologies when necessary to provide their services, protect transactions, prevent abuse, authenticate users, measure performance, or support features you choose to use.

Third-party providers may process information under their own privacy and cookie policies when you visit their websites, use their embedded tools, authenticate through them, pay through them, or interact with their services outside DietWings.

We are not responsible for cookies, tracking technologies, privacy practices, security practices, content, or terms of third-party websites and services that are not controlled by DietWings.

Your cookie choices

Where cookie preferences are available, you can accept, reject, or adjust non-essential cookie categories through our cookie banner or preference center.

Strictly necessary technologies are always active because DietWings cannot provide secure account access, subscriptions, payments, token balances, meal-plan workflows, fraud prevention, or cookie-choice storage without them.

You may withdraw or change non-essential cookie choices at any time through the available cookie settings. Where required by law, withdrawing consent is designed to be as easy as giving consent.

Refusing or disabling non-essential cookies will not prevent you from accessing the core DietWings service, but some optional preferences, personalization, analytics-based improvements, campaign attribution, or convenience features may not work as intended.

Browser and device controls

  • You can block, delete, or limit cookies through your browser settings.
  • You can clear local storage and session storage through your browser settings or developer tools.
  • You can use private or incognito browsing modes, subject to your browser’s limitations.
  • You can restrict third-party cookies, pixels, and cross-site tracking where your browser supports this.
  • Some browsers, extensions, or devices may offer privacy preference signals. Where applicable law requires us to honor a legally recognized opt-out signal, DietWings treats that signal according to the law that applies to the user and processing activity.
  • Blocking necessary cookies may prevent login, checkout, 2FA, password reset, meal-plan generation, PDF export, shopping-list updates, admin functions, or other core functionality from working correctly.

Cookie preference records

We may store a record of your cookie choices so that we can remember your preferences, avoid asking you repeatedly, apply your settings across sessions where possible, and demonstrate that we respected your choices.

A cookie preference record may include your selected categories, timestamp, policy or banner version, region or country setting, device or browser identifier, and technical information needed to apply the preference.

Cookie preference records are treated as necessary technologies because they are required to remember and honor your cookie choices.

Retention

Cookies and similar technologies may be session-based or persistent. Session technologies usually expire when you close your browser, sign out, or end your session. Persistent technologies remain until they expire, you delete them, your browser deletes them, your account settings change, or they are no longer needed.

The retention period depends on the purpose of the technology, the feature involved, your settings, legal requirements, security needs, and the relevant provider’s configuration.

We aim to keep cookies and similar technologies only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law, security needs, fraud prevention, dispute handling, audit requirements, or compliance obligations.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in DietWings, our providers, our technologies, legal requirements, security practices, or product features.

When changes are material, we may provide notice through the product, website, cookie banner, account notice, email, or another appropriate method. Where required by law, we may ask you to renew or update your cookie choices.

The “Last updated” date shows when this Cookie Policy was last revised.
