Scope of this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how DietWings collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when you visit our public website, create an account, use meal-planning features, use AI-assisted features, manage shopping lists, manage pantry and inventory data, use billing features, contact support, submit feedback, connect third-party accounts, or interact with administrative and security systems.

This policy applies to DietWings website pages, landing pages, legal pages, changelog pages, account areas, meal-plan workflows, AI Nutritionist chat, file uploads, PDF exports, shopping-list tools, pantry and leftovers tools, adherence and feedback tools, notifications, billing flows, support features, and related product functionality.

This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, Cookie Policy, Medical Disclaimer, Data Processing page, and any written agreement that expressly applies to your use of DietWings.

Who controls your information

DietWings is operated by Isentró Kft, registered at 1082 Budapest, Corvin sétány 6, 8th floor, unit 4, Hungary. In this policy, “DietWings”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to that entity.

For individual accounts and direct consumer use, DietWings generally acts as an independent controller of personal information because DietWings determines the purposes and means of processing needed to provide, secure, bill, improve, and administer the service.

Where an organization or enterprise customer uses DietWings under a separate written agreement that expressly appoints DietWings as a processor, service provider, or contractor, DietWings processes the covered personal information according to that agreement and documented instructions, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

If you use DietWings on behalf of another person, household, organization, client, employee, child, guest, or shared user, you are responsible for having the authority, notices, permissions, and legal basis required to submit and manage that person’s information.

Legal bases for processing

Where privacy laws require a legal basis, DietWings relies on different legal bases depending on the feature, user location, data type, and processing purpose.

Performance of a contract may apply when we process information to create and manage your account, generate meal plans, provide AI-assisted features, maintain shopping lists, manage subscriptions, process tokens, provide exports, deliver notifications, and provide requested support.

Consent may apply when you choose to provide optional information, use non-essential cookies, receive optional marketing communications, connect certain third-party accounts, submit certain health-related inputs where required, or allow specific optional processing.

Legitimate interests may apply when we secure the service, prevent fraud and abuse, debug errors, maintain service reliability, improve the product, measure aggregate usage, enforce policies, manage administrative systems, and protect DietWings, users, providers, and the public, unless your rights and interests override those interests.

Legal obligation may apply when we keep billing records, respond to lawful requests, comply with tax or accounting rules, process legally required notices, handle disputes, prevent illegal activity, or meet regulatory obligations.

Vital interests are not a usual basis for DietWings processing, but in rare cases we may process or disclose limited information if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect someone’s life, safety, or security.

AI processing

DietWings may use AI systems and AI service providers to generate, revise, summarize, format, analyze, and explain meal plans, recipes, grocery lists, pantry suggestions, cautions, warnings, diffs, chat responses, and related product outputs.

To provide AI-assisted features, DietWings may send relevant prompts, plan settings, household inputs, dietary preferences, restrictions, allergies, medical flags, uploaded-file extracts, recipe data, pantry context, shopping-list data, user edits, feedback, AI chat messages, and technical metadata to AI systems or providers.

DietWings may process AI inputs and outputs to provide requested features, maintain revision history, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, monitor token usage, monitor cost, improve reliability, evaluate output quality, and enforce safety or usage policies.

DietWings does not intentionally use private meal-planning content, allergy notes, medical flags, uploaded files, AI chat content, household profiles, body measurements, or payment metadata for advertising targeting.

DietWings does not intentionally allow third-party AI providers to use your private meal-planning content for their independent advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising. If model-improvement processing is introduced in a way that requires additional notice or consent, DietWings will provide the required notice or choice.

AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, unsuitable, or unsafe for a particular person. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them, especially where allergies, medical conditions, pregnancy, medications, eating disorders, child nutrition, clinical diets, or food safety are involved.

Health-related information and medical disclaimer

DietWings may process health-related or sensitive information only because users choose to enter it for meal-planning personalization, safety cautions, household organization, adherence tracking, or related product features.

DietWings is not a doctor, dietitian, nutrition clinic, medical device, emergency service, pharmacy, electronic health record, or clinical decision-support system. DietWings does not provide diagnosis, treatment, cure, prevention, medical advice, or clinical nutrition therapy.

You should not submit detailed medical records, diagnoses, prescriptions, lab results, genetic information, government identifiers, financial credentials, private wallet keys, or other unnecessary sensitive information unless it is necessary for your use of DietWings and you are authorized to provide it.

DietWings cannot guarantee that a generated meal plan is allergen-free, medically appropriate, nutritionally complete, compatible with medications, suitable for pregnancy, suitable for children, safe for eating disorders, or appropriate for any clinical condition.

Household members, guests, and shared users

DietWings may allow you to add household members, temporary guests, shared users, or other participants to a meal plan or account workflow.

If you enter information about another person, you represent that you have the right, authority, permission, and legal basis to provide that information and to use it in DietWings.

Shared users may be able to view, edit, export, delete, or otherwise interact with information depending on the permissions granted by the account owner or administrator.

You are responsible for managing shared access, assigning appropriate permissions, removing access when it is no longer needed, and avoiding disclosure of information to people who should not see it.

Cookies and similar technologies

DietWings uses cookies, local storage, session storage, pixels, scripts, device identifiers, and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.

Strictly necessary technologies support login, session security, fraud prevention, checkout, 2FA, trusted devices, cookie choices, meal-planning workflow state, payment state, admin security, and core product functionality.

Where required by law, analytics, functional, marketing, or other non-essential technologies are used according to your cookie choices, product settings, browser controls, or other applicable consent mechanisms.

You can manage many cookie choices through supported cookie controls and browser settings. Blocking necessary technologies may prevent DietWings from working correctly.

Notifications and communications

DietWings may send transactional, service, account, billing, security, support, legal, and product-operation messages even if you opt out of optional marketing communications.

These messages may include email verification, password reset, login notifications, 2FA messages, account-security alerts, subscription notices, payment notices, refund notices, invoice notices, trial notices, token-balance alerts, generation or connection alerts, support updates, deletion notices, and changes to legal documents.

If you opt in to optional product updates, meal-planning tips, newsletters, or marketing messages, you can unsubscribe using the available unsubscribe link, account settings, or by contacting support.

If you connect Telegram or another messaging service, DietWings may send notifications through that service according to your settings and the third-party service’s own rules.

How we share information

We share personal information only as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to provide and secure DietWings, to use providers, to follow your instructions, to comply with law, to enforce our rights, or with your consent.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not intentionally sell user-provided meal plans, allergy notes, medical flags, AI chat content, uploaded files, body measurements, household profiles, payment credentials, or private pantry data to data brokers.

Some privacy laws define “sale”, “sharing”, “targeted advertising”, or “cross-context behavioral advertising” broadly. If we use online identifiers, cookies, pixels, or marketing attribution tools in a way that legally qualifies as sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, we will provide the notices and choices required by applicable law.

Service providers and processors

We may share information with providers that help us operate DietWings, including cloud hosting, infrastructure, databases, storage, backups, authentication, AI functionality, file processing, PDF generation, analytics, error monitoring, security, fraud prevention, payment processing, invoicing, tax support, email delivery, Telegram notifications, customer support, and product operations.

These providers are expected to process information only as needed to provide their services to DietWings and under appropriate confidentiality, security, and contractual obligations.

AI providers

We may share prompts, plan settings, uploaded-file extracts, household context, dietary preferences, restrictions, allergy or medical-flag context, recipes, shopping lists, pantry context, AI chat messages, and technical metadata with AI providers where needed to generate, revise, summarize, or troubleshoot DietWings outputs.

Payment providers

We may share checkout state, subscription status, invoice references, payment-provider identifiers, promo-code data, token-package purchase data, refund state, tax or accounting metadata, and fraud-prevention signals with payment providers.

If you pay using crypto-related payment methods, blockchain transactions, wallet addresses, transaction hashes, and related payment metadata may be visible or processed outside DietWings systems and may be difficult or impossible to delete from public or third-party records.

Authentication and connected-account providers

If you use Google login, connect a Google account, connect Telegram, or use another integration, we may share and receive information needed to authenticate you, connect the service, deliver notifications, maintain security, and let you disconnect the integration.

Shared users and account participants

Information may be visible to account owners, shared users, household organizers, invited users, or administrators according to the permissions, shared-access settings, and product features selected for the account.

Authorized personnel and administrators

Authorized DietWings personnel, contractors, or administrators may access account, plan, billing, technical, security, support, and administrative data where reasonably necessary to operate the service, provide support, investigate bugs, prevent abuse, secure accounts, resolve billing issues, enforce policies, comply with law, or perform authorized administrative actions.

Protected administrative tools may include user search, user detail views, login-history review, token-usage review, role management, account blocking, subscription grants, token adjustments, payment-provider management, promo-code management, content management, site-alert management, feedback management, audit logs, analytics dashboards, LLM usage monitoring, cost monitoring, and compliance-policy controls.

Legal, safety, and compliance recipients

We may disclose information to courts, regulators, law enforcement, payment networks, professional advisers, auditors, tax authorities, security investigators, or other recipients where we believe disclosure is required or permitted by law, necessary to protect rights or safety, necessary to prevent fraud or abuse, necessary to resolve disputes, or necessary to enforce our agreements.

Business transfers

If DietWings is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, corporate transaction, or transfer of service operations, information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and appropriate protections.

Analytics, advertising, and product improvement

DietWings may use analytics and performance tools to understand website visits, onboarding, feature usage, generation reliability, token usage, product errors, latency, checkout completion, subscription conversion, support trends, and aggregate product performance.

Where permitted by law and your cookie choices, DietWings may use limited marketing and attribution technologies to understand referrals, campaign performance, promo-code usage, landing-page effectiveness, and whether messages are relevant.

DietWings does not intentionally use allergies, medical flags, body measurements, uploaded files, AI chat content, household profiles, pantry contents, private meal plans, adherence data, workout tracking, off-plan events, or payment credentials for advertising targeting.

We may create aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information for product improvement, analytics, business reporting, cost monitoring, safety evaluation, benchmarking, abuse prevention, and development of new features.

International processing

DietWings and its providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Data may be accessed, stored, transferred, or supported from multiple locations depending on hosting, AI functionality, payments, authentication, email delivery, support, security, analytics, and operational needs.

Unless a separate written agreement expressly provides a data-residency commitment, DietWings does not guarantee that all information will remain in a specific country, region, or jurisdiction.

Where applicable law requires transfer safeguards for international transfers, DietWings aims to use appropriate transfer mechanisms, contractual protections, provider commitments, and operational safeguards suitable for the relevant processing activity.

Retention

DietWings retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain accounts, generate and store meal plans, support shopping lists and pantry features, manage subscriptions and token balances, provide support, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and operate legitimate business records.

Meal plans, drafts, AI chats, revisions, shopping lists, pantry data, feedback, adherence records, and other product data may be retained while your account is active, while restoration features are available, or until you delete the relevant data, delete your account, or request deletion, subject to legal, security, billing, backup, provider, and technical limitations.

Billing, invoice, payment, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, audit, support, and legal records may be retained for longer periods where reasonably necessary or required by law.

Deleted information may remain for a limited time in backups, logs, audit records, cached systems, archival systems, security records, provider systems, or disaster-recovery systems before it is deleted, overwritten, anonymized, isolated, or otherwise handled according to applicable retention practices.

Deletion, export, and account closure

DietWings may allow you to export certain account information, meal plans, shopping lists, PDFs, or other user data through available product features.

Export features may not include every backup, log, derived record, analytics event, internal note, security event, audit record, provider record, payment-provider record, or administrative record.

You may be able to delete meal plans, restore deleted meal plans within an available restoration period, remove shared access, disconnect connected accounts, clear certain settings, schedule account deletion, or request account/data deletion through product settings or support.

When an account is deleted or a valid deletion request is completed, DietWings deletes, anonymizes, disables, or isolates personal information according to applicable law, product functionality, backup cycles, provider limitations, and retention needs.

DietWings may retain information where reasonably necessary for tax, accounting, billing, chargeback, refund, security, fraud-prevention, abuse-prevention, dispute-resolution, audit, legal, compliance, or enforcement purposes.

Security

DietWings uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

These measures may include TLS or similar protections for data in transit, authentication controls, password protections, email verification, OTP/2FA features, trusted-device controls, backup-code handling, session management, role-based access controls, administrative permissions, audit logging, monitoring, error detection, rate limiting, abuse prevention, fraud checks, backups, and provider security controls.

No online service can guarantee absolute security, uninterrupted availability, perfect backups, error-free AI output, or complete protection against every attack, device compromise, browser extension, user mistake, credential theft, provider failure, or network issue.

You are responsible for protecting your devices, browsers, email account, password, backup codes, connected accounts, Telegram account, payment accounts, shared-access permissions, and any exported PDFs or downloaded files.

Your choices

  • You can update many account, profile, household, preference, notification, meal-planning, shared-access, device, and connected-account settings in your account.
  • You can choose what optional meal-planning information to provide, but missing or incomplete information may reduce personalization or cause unsuitable outputs.
  • You can disconnect Google, Telegram, or other connected accounts where supported.
  • You can manage email and Telegram notification settings where supported. Transactional, legal, billing, support, and security messages may still be sent when necessary.
  • You can manage non-essential cookies through available cookie controls and browser settings.
  • You can delete meal plans, remove shared access, export supported data, schedule account deletion, or contact support for privacy requests where available.
  • You can stop using DietWings at any time, but some records may be retained where legally, technically, financially, or security-wise necessary.

Privacy rights

Depending on your location and the laws that apply, you may have rights to access, confirm, correct, delete, export, restrict, object to, or withdraw consent for certain processing of your personal information.

You may also have the right to object to direct marketing, lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, appeal certain privacy-request decisions, use an authorized agent, opt out of certain sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling activities, or limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable law provides those rights.

DietWings may need to verify your identity, account ownership, authorization, jurisdiction, or request scope before fulfilling a request.

Some requests may be limited or denied where permitted by law, including where fulfilling the request would affect the rights of others, reveal trade secrets or security information, interfere with fraud prevention or abuse prevention, conflict with legal obligations, impair billing or accounting records, affect dispute handling, prevent enforcement of agreements, or require deletion of information we are allowed or required to retain.

Where we process information as a processor, service provider, or contractor for an organization or enterprise customer, we may redirect your request to that customer or assist that customer according to the applicable written agreement.

California and similar US state privacy disclosures

For residents of California and other US states with similar privacy laws, the categories described in this policy explain the personal information we may collect, the sources of that information, the purposes for collection and use, the categories of recipients, and the types of privacy choices that may be available.

DietWings does not sell personal information for money. If our use of cookies, pixels, analytics, advertising, or attribution tools is considered a sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or cross-context behavioral advertising under applicable law, we will provide required notices and opt-out mechanisms.

DietWings does not intentionally use or disclose sensitive meal-planning information, allergy notes, medical flags, body measurements, AI chat content, uploaded files, or household profiles for purposes that require a right to limit sensitive personal information without providing the required choice.

Where legally required, DietWings will honor recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, according to the law that applies to the user, browser, signal, and processing activity.

DietWings does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of children under the age where opt-in consent is required by applicable law.

Children

DietWings is not intended for children who cannot lawfully use online services or consent to data processing in their location.

DietWings is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without required parental consent.

If a parent, guardian, household organizer, or authorized adult enters information about a child or teen for household meal-planning purposes, that adult is responsible for having the required authority and for ensuring the information is accurate, appropriate, and not excessive.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to DietWings without required consent, contact [email protected] so we can review and take appropriate action.

HIPAA and health-app notices

DietWings is a consumer meal-planning and organization service. Unless DietWings has signed a separate written Business Associate Agreement that expressly says otherwise, DietWings is not intended to act as a HIPAA covered entity or business associate.

You should not use DietWings to store or transmit protected health information on behalf of a healthcare provider, health plan, healthcare clearinghouse, clinic, hospital, pharmacy, insurer, employer health plan, or other regulated healthcare organization unless a separate written agreement expressly permits that use.

Certain health-app, consumer-health, breach-notification, privacy, or sensitive-data laws may still apply depending on your location, the information you provide, and how DietWings is used. Nothing in this policy limits rights or notices that cannot legally be limited.

Automated processing

DietWings uses automated processing and AI-assisted systems to generate meal plans, recipes, shopping lists, pantry suggestions, cautions, warnings, nutrition estimates, plan revisions, diffs, summaries, and chat responses.

DietWings does not intend these automated outputs to produce legal effects or similarly significant decisions about you. They are informational and organizational outputs that you can review, edit, reject, regenerate, ignore, export, or delete.

Do not rely on DietWings automated outputs for medical decisions, emergency decisions, allergy safety, medication decisions, pregnancy nutrition, eating-disorder recovery, child nutrition, clinical diets, or any decision requiring professional judgment.

Do Not Track and privacy signals

Some browsers and devices offer “Do Not Track”, Global Privacy Control, or other privacy preference signals. Because these signals are not all legally or technically standardized, DietWings responds to such signals where required by applicable law and where the signal can be reasonably recognized and applied to the relevant processing activity.

You can also use our available cookie controls, account settings, unsubscribe links, and privacy request channels to exercise supported choices.

Third-party websites and services

DietWings may link to or integrate with third-party websites, payment pages, authentication providers, messaging platforms, analytics tools, support tools, AI providers, food databases, app stores, browser extensions, or other services.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security practices, content, terms, cookies, tracking technologies, professional obligations, payment decisions, or data handling of third-party services that are not controlled by DietWings.

You should review the privacy policies and terms of third-party services before using them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in DietWings, our providers, AI features, payment flows, security practices, legal requirements, business operations, or product functionality.

When changes are material, we may provide notice through the website, product, account notice, email, changelog, cookie banner, or another appropriate method. Where required by law, we may request renewed consent or provide additional choices.

The “Last updated” date shows when this Privacy Policy was last revised.
